What Makes Wailea Beaches Unique

It’s one of the easiest places on Maui to spend a full day at the beach without needing to move your car.

Mokapu Beach

Mokapu Beach offers a great mix of open sand and calm water, with easy access from nearby resorts and the Wailea Beach Path. It’s a versatile beach that works well for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing by the water.

Because access is primarily from the resort, it tends to feel a bit more open and less crowded than some of the neighboring beaches.  But you can also access it from the Ulua parking lot by walking to the right instead of heading left to Ulua.

Ulua Beach is one of the top snorkeling beaches on Maui. With a well-defined reef and typically calm morning conditions, it attracts both beginners and experienced snorkelers and divers.

It’s also a solid swimming beach, making it one of the most well-rounded options in Wailea.
